Why is it needed?
In an age where global travel has become common-place, events like the COVID pandemic and accelerating environmental destruction bring the consequences of our worldwide pursuits into sharp relief. Yet the urge to seek out new horizons, build meaningful relationships, and have an overall sense of self-worth and belonging is entrenched in our DNA.
Rickshaw is our new virtual passport to the world, where we can nurture our adventurous and social human spirit, while simultaneously helping to mitigate the on-going cultural and environmental damage being done to our planet.
How does it work?
Rickshaw is a virtual tourism and education platform designed to address the need for safe, sustainable, global travel and tourism solutions. It brings the thrill of foreign travel to our explorers, virtually, by connecting them with like-minded travellers and knowledgeable guides around the globe, providing a wide selection of live tours and educational experiences in a world where hopping on a plane is no longer an automatic easy option.
Rickshaw explorers have access to a rich selection of authentic cultural experiences that they may not otherwise have sought or been able to find, without the financial or environmental costs associated with physical travel. This includes areas where physical tourism would either be detrimental to the site, or simply inaccessible.

We are looking for anyone, anywhere, who has a desire to explore the world and learn about new destinations, cultures, and communities. If that sounds like you, then jump on in and become one of our intrepid explorers!
If you have sites to show and stories to share, then why not join us as a Rickshaw guide? All you need, apart from your engaging character and local knowledge, is a smartphone with a camera and 4G connection. Once approved as a Rickshaw guide, you’ll be able to earn income from every tour you give.
